A sneak peek at what’s coming tomorrow…
Welcome 2011!! A Great New Year with Great Possibilities!
A new year, new adventures, new people to meet, new sights to see – ah I love this time of year!! I don’t know about you, but I don’t make resolutions, I make goals for the new year…and I’ve got a few that are going to be rough but that’s why you make them right?! The one that’s going to be a push for me is my running goal. I want to run 5 miles at least 3 times a week. Currently I’m at 2.5 miles twice a week…so that’s increasing my distance by 200% per week! Wow – that’s a pretty big goal…
Anyway, enough about my crazy goals…the real reason I know your here is to read about the awesome chance I have going on for all of my 2011 Brides! Ladies, welcome to your wedding year!
It has been really hard for me not to post anything about this since it’s been stewing in my brain for I don’t know how long now, but I did it! I kept the secret til now! Here it is – one of you gorgeous ladies getting married this year is going to win a 16×24 Canvas of their favorite wedding image – that’s over a $200 value!! Of course there will be smaller contests along the way with other prizes as well…
Here’s how you play – you are going to collect points throughout the year (how will be explained in a second) and the person with the most points at the end of the year (I’m talking 12/31/11 11:59:59 pm) will win the canvas. There are certainly various methods to collecting points, but it’s actually up to your family and friends to help you! They have to comment on your engagement pictures, schedule a session of their own, become a follower on facebook, ect and of course, let me know that they are there because YOU sent them there and you earn points! It’s that easy! All you have to do is point them in the right direction!
Point distribution:
5 points – They “like” my photography on facebook (there is a link on my website http://www.katefoxbowerphotography.com) – also, tell them to make sure to send me an email and tell me that they liked me because you told them to so I can award the correct amount of points!
7 points – They comment on your engagement pictures (or any pics on facebook, my blog or my website – just make sure they tell me who the points should go to!)
25 points – They book a session with me
50 points – They buy an art print found on my website
200 points – They book a wedding with me
If there is something else someone is looking for, please don’t hesitate to ask me if you can get points for that as well, I’m sure I haven’t thought of everything! For daily or weekly contests, the conditions will be posted the night before it starts, but points will start counting towards that contest until the following morning.
Any questions, please let me know and happy planning Ladies!!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of capturing Lori and Chad’s beautiful, October wedding. The weather really held up for us and I also had some incredible help from a former groom, Joey! Joey is also a photographer and wanted to know what went into shooting a wedding, so he came along as my second shooter. Lori and Chad actually met 12 years ago, however, it was three years ago that their love for one another began to blossom…
I think I need to play with sidewalk chalk more often…
Lori and Chad opted to do a first look since we are now losing daylight by 6 here in Ohio and their ceremony was at 6:30. I think this might have been one of the most moving moments I’ve seen. Chad waited on the bridge for Lori with a single red rose and it was just the sweetest moment…
Their church was absolutely beautiful as well! Congratulations Lori and Chad! Enjoy your time in the Bahamas with each other!!
Ok, so 6 pictures is a lot for one of my sneak peeks, but let me tell you, I could not narrow down my choices any further! I had so much fun on this shoot – not to mention with such a good looking couple, who wouldn’t be excited about these pictures?? Hope you guys enjoy them and I’ll have the rest to you soon!
Stacy’s family lives on a farm and she already had some awesome gates we had to get in a few shots. Not to mention the cows that were out and about, staring at us the whole time we were shooting! I don’t know if they make a cameo in these sneak peek shots, but they will in the next post!
We found an old tree that had fallen long ago, but provided a very interesting place to take pictures!
Another fun gate!
All fall long I’ve been searching for a tree like this…
How do you not fall in love with a setting like this??
